Promotional Video - Animal Rescue Charity
Video Production - Solo Project, Final year of college
As part of college, one of my projects was to create a promotional and professional video about an organisation of my choice. I chose to work with the local animal rescue charity 'TNR West'. I personally adore all animals, especially dogs. I adopted my own dog through this charity. I made contact with the administrator of this organisation and pitched my idea and vision for the promotional video. I used my 'Treatment' document to convey how the final video would appear.
I had to organise, contact and arrange dates and times with prospective dog owners to partake in the video. I loaned out professional equipment from the college. To create the video, I used 35mm and 85mm lenses, a tripod, gimbal, zoom h5 audio recorder and a Cannon 1300 DSLR camera. The use of the lenses really helped me to capture a visually stunning scene. I recorded atmospheric sounds on the filming days. For filming, I travelled out to Blackrock and Kinsealy to film multiple dogs and owners to achieve the best possible footage for the final edit of the video. I shot practice shots with my dog and followed the storyboard and plan to ensure all shots were completed and to examine if the story arc of the video needed some fine-tuning.
I edited the footage using Adobe Premiere Pro as well as Adobe Audition for the sound. I used various video editing techniques to achieve the final video. The tracking and masking of the dog and background at the beginning of the video was the longest section to complete.

The final promotional video was presented to the client and was then shared on their social media accounts.
